Practice overview
I began my career as a Birth and Postpartum Doula, after completing my initial Birth Doula training with DONA International in 2016. Shortly afterward, I joined Manhattan Birth's Mentorship program for 18 months of additional trainings on tending to the postpartum psyche, basic life support, Neo-natal resuscitation, supporting LGBTQ+ families, lactation studies, and more. My trainings have allowed me to provide more comprehensive support through education, emotional and physical work, healing through nourishment, placenta encapsulation, baby-caretaking, and more.

March 12, 2021 at 6:24 am | Client reviewValencia is a warm and loving professional. She is entuned to her clients needs and is willing to go above beyond to support the family unit of her clients. Valencia is very knowledgeable about the birthing experience, neonatal care, breastfeeding and post partum and much more. She has an abundance of resources for homeopathic remedies and nutritional advice that will both support the mother and the developing fetus/infant. She did a remarkable job at teaching the necessary skills to the family unit to ensure stability and empowering the mother her ability to continue caring for her infant after discharge.
