Practice overview
Emily is a nanny, family assistant, doula, yoga teacher, and momma. Originally from a tiny farm town in Texas, she was living in Colorado when she met a girl from Knoxville. Fueled by a mutual love for road trips, National Parks, and Indian food they became fast friends. After a weekend trip to Knoxville, she fell in love. Knoxville combined everything she loved about Colorado... albeit, smaller mountains... and the Southern hospitality she loved about Texas. Nine years later here she is raising a family of her own. Charles and Emily met the ‘modern way’... on the internet and are now parents to a toddler and a teenager. In addition, they care for two young adults that are just getting started in their adult lives. Emily is living with Arthrogryposis, a rare congenital disorder. As a result, Emily is creative and resourceful. She brings a unique and refreshing perspective to the care she offers. She loves empowering all parents, but especially fellow disabled parents. Having worked as a professional nanny for a number of years and now mothering her own family she knows the joys and deep challenges that come with family life.
