I began my practice as a newborn care specialist in 2009 and worked my way up to becoming a birth and postpartum doula in 2016 followed by my certification in lactation. Birth and postpartum care has always been a passion of mine. I love providing families with the whole package. I consider myself a healer and nurturer who listens to your needs, wants, concerns and questions. I attend prenatal appointments, work with you and partner if one is present, I offer birth photography, hypnobirthing, spinning babies, breastfeeding support, & postpartum care. I do limit the amount of birth clients and postpartum clients each month depending on birth/postpartum ratio. Inclusion is very important to me ❤️

  Shira was a calming and helpful resource after our twins were born. She made PBJs for a hungry mama, cleaned pump parts, and got our babies to sleep when they were just a couple weeks old overnight.

  If you are able to afford a postpartum doula , I highly recommend it. Even two nights we spent with Shira made an enormous difference for our mental health when we had a break and got some sleep. Xoxox

  After finding out I was pregnant, I knew I wanted something different for my birthing story. My first son was premature at 26 weeks, and unfortunately, due to the circumstances, I had no decision in my son’s birth. I felt I was talked into things because I did not know anything different. After running into a friend and announcing my pregnancy to her, she shared her birthing story. Just like mine, her first birth, she didn’t have much say. In her second birth, we hired Vonda. After hearing her and her husband talk about the bond and the experience they had, I couldn’t help but reach out to Vonda to know more. My first conversation with Vonda was over the phone, and we talked for over an hour. I shared my firstborn’s birthing story. My fear of my second birth and the complications I had as a high-risk pregnancy.
  By the end of the conversation, I knew I wanted her to be a part of my birthing story. Her voice was reassuring, and talking with her already put me at ease. The next few weeks, we would chat over text and phone about how my pregnancy was going. Due to some complications that put me in the hospital at 21 half weeks, I reached out to her to let her know. That’s when I met Kiana, also on her team. Kiana came out to meet me at the hospital and comfort me during this time. Vonda also chatted with me about some of my concerns and gave me the confidence to speak to my medical team about them. I am a newer doula but not new to birth! I have been in the sexual education field for 10+ years. Helping people brings me so much joy and I am extremely attentive to my clients.

  I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Natalie! Being pregnant in a new state, plus needing to change providers, I began to lack confidence. As soon as I hired Natalie, she gave me the support I was looking for and I started feeling confident again. Even though I didn’t know which doctor or midwife would be on call for my birth, I knew Natalie would be there every step of the way! She was so encouraging in labor and I definitely recommend her!

Then, after a wonderful midwife and assistant who attended the birth of her second child, she knew she was going to be involved in birth work in some way.   Christin was such an amazing force to have in the room during both my daughter and my son’s birth. She brings so much experience but also the most calming spirit. I am confident that my births would have looked much different (and much less how I wanted) if Christin was not present. She positioned me, helped me with breathing, encouraged me and ensured that I was able to have the natural birth I dreamed of.

  She is wonderful equipping birth partners also and made my husband felt so much more prepared and helpful during birth. Christin was also so helpful in pregnancy, always answering questions and helping to guide me through even the hardest parts. She is also someone you want to spend time with and a true joy to have around. I cannot imagine birthing without her!!

As a birth Doula my role is to assist couples with continuous emotional support, physical comfort and assistance in obtaining information before, during and just after birth. My role includes ensuring that the mother, partner and baby have a birth experience where they are empowered throughout their journey.   Tara was amazing. She helped me prepare for my the birth of my son, I only regret that the hospital wouldn’t allow her to be with me even though hospital policy was allowing doulas at that time. She was great, though. She even came after he was born and helped me. She was and is amazing. I highly recommend her.
